Symposium Voting Advice Applications: good or bad?

The symposium will take place on Tuesday, November 4th at the Town Hall of the municipality of Utrecht. In this symposium, we will present the most important findings of our studies during the municipality elections of March 2014. In addition, there will be a debate between a politician, a VAA builder and 3 scientists on the usefulness of VAAs. Participation is free, but one has to register by sending an email to  ascor-secr-fmg@uva.nl before October 29th.The full program for the symposium can be found below. 14:00 – 14:30: welcome with coffee and tee

14:30 – 14:40: opening by the mayor of Utrecht

14:40 – 15:10: short talks about the research findings

15:10 – 16:00: debate between Martin Rosema (Twente University), Andre Krouwel (VU Amsterdam/ KiesKompas), Bram Fokke (Utrecht city council),  Bregje Holleman  (Utrecht University) and Claes de Vreese (University of Amsterdam) about the use of Voting Advice Applications. The debate will be lead by Piet Bakker (Hogeschool Utrecht).
